Imo State Community in Austria (IMSCOM) is formed for the purpose of promoting Imo state, its people, its culture and its ways of life in Austria as well as the global community. The aims and objectives include but not limited to the following:
- To function as an umbrella organization uniting and fostering close relationship among indigenes of Imo state residing in Austria,
- To provide a common platform where Imo indigenes in Austria can make a meaningful bargain, as a strong stakeholder in policy formulation in Imo State governance,
- To promote good image of Imo State in Austria,
- To promote and project Imo indigenous cultural heritage and moral values in Austria,
- Give sense of belonging to members in cases of joy or sorrow,
- To work closely with Igbo organizations in Austria in matters concerning the Igbo people both at home and abroad.
